Suppose the pulley in figure is suspended by a cord C. Determine the tension (in Newton) in this cord after the masses ( $\left.m_1=4.9 \mathrm{~kg}, \mathrm{~m}_2=7.5 \mathrm{~kg}\right)$, are released and before one hits the ground. Ignore the mass of the pulley and cords.

acceleration a = g(m2-m1)/(m1+m2) = 9,806(7,5-4,9)/(7,5+4,9) = 2,0561 m/s^2

tension T = m2*(g-a) = 7,5*(9,806-2,0561) = 58,12 N

tension T = m1*(g+a) = 4,9*(9,806+2,0561) = 58,12 N
