Calore specifico H2O: C acqua = 4186 J/kg°C.

Calore ceduto dall'acqua fino a 0°C:

Q acqua = C * m * (T - To) = 4186 * 0,5 * (0° - 20°) = - 41860 J;

Calore assorbito dal ghiaccio per arrivare a 0°C.

Q ghiaccio = 2220 * 0,4 * [0° - (- 10°)] = + 8880 J;

Q ghiaccio + Q acqua = 8880 + ( - 41860) = - 32980 J (calore rimanente ceduto dall'acqua  per fondere il ghiaccio).

Q fusione = Lf * m;

m = Q / Lf = 32 980 /(3,335 * 10^5) = 0,099 kg; (circa 0,1 kg, massa che può fondere).

%; percentuale  di massa fusa:

100 : x = 0,4 : 0,1;

x = 100 * 0,1 / 0,4 = 100 * 0,25 = 25.

massa percentuale = 25%; (25/100).

 

 

8) Calore ceduto dall'acqua: serve per portare il ghiaccio a 0° e per fonderlo.

Q1 = 4186 * 2,0 * (0° - 20°) = - 167 440 J; 

m1 = 0,13  kg di ghiaccio fondono a 0°.

Qfusione: Qf = Lf * m1 = 3,335 * 10^5 * 0,13 = + 43 355 J, (calore assorbito per la fusione).

Qf + Q1 = 43355 - 167440 = - 124 085 J; (calore rimanente ceduto dall'acqua al ghiaccio che si trova a - 40° e si porta a 0°C).

Q assorbito dalla massa  totale m del ghiaccio per portarsi da - 40°C a 0° e fare la  fusione.

Qghiaccio  = 2220 * m * [0° - (- 40°)] = m * 88 800 J; (calore assorbito dal ghiaccio).

m * 88 800  = 124 085;

m = 124 085 / 88 800 = 1,4 kg.
