$3+6(x+2)-3(x+4)=4(1+x)+2x$

$3+6x+12-3x-12 = 4+4x+2x$

$3x+3 = 4+6x$

$3x-6x = 4-3$

$-3x = 1$

$x= -\dfrac{1}{3}$
